The founder Julie Zhu has many years of experience in management, software development, and publishing. She graduated in Chinese Academy of Sciences with a master degree, majoring in astrophysics. And she also has a full time MBA degree from George Washington University. She is also a science fiction author, having published 4 original books.
“Ecyg” name comes from the first letters of four cats’ name which the founder owned. It can be read as “E Cyg”, Cyg means Swan, and can also be interpreted as Cygnus in astronomy.
